Meet-ups in New York
I missed the energy of a big tech hub, so I took advantage of my New York marathon trip to attend as many tech events / meet-ups as possible.
I’ve been to three meet-ups and I met some really cool people but one of them stood out to me.
Someone, together with a friend, quit their job with the sole purpose of starting a company … but they had no idea which problem to solve.
At first glance this may sound risky (and it is), but they approached it in a smart way. They started by choosing the space in which they wanted to operate and then moved to interviewing as many people as possible in order to identify a problem worth solving.
And it worked. They are doing quite alright now.
This made me think that you don’t really need the perfect idea to begin ; you just need to begin!
